Ponce

Just 1½ hour by car from San Juan, via Toll Expressway 52, Puerto Rico's second largest city features many interesting attractions, such as the Tibes Indian Ceremonial Center, the oldest native cemetery in the Caribbean. Other highlights include the Ponce Museum of Art, the Serrallés Castle -built in 1930 by owners of the Don Q rum distillery-; the picturesque Ponce Firehouse -originally built as an exhibit for the 1882 Trade Fair- and the 100-foot tall El Vigía Cross.
