Arecibo Observatory

The Arecibo Observatory features the world's largest radar/radio telescope. It conducts groundbreaking astronomy work, including the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence program. Operated by Cornell University, the telescope probes the ionosphere, examines planets and monitors natural radio emissions from distant galaxies.
